Saturday, August 12, 2006 ; anthem of love
the national day parade was again.. nothing much. it was over darn fast. the only thing that i actually remembered, was the huge crowds.. duh! i reached home darn early lah.
teacher only tested half the ting xie words, cuz she said there was no time to test all. aiya. i studied and memorised the zao ju can. but my class was probably overjoyed. we got back our social studies CA and i did pretty well. for someone who just barely passed. but what the hell. i got 1/6 for an sbq. boohoo. pull all my marks down. i got almost full marks for the rest. congrats to carisia and lisa for doing really well!
God has really blessed me with good results. and for some reason, i've been really concerned over my studies this term. what happened to the dont-care-about-results attitude?! anyways, well, of course its never good enough for my mum.
i remembered, my first CA in primary one. i had 49 half /50. i was overjoyed. but when i came home, i got scolded. for not getting 50/50. well, my mum and my bro scolded me. cuz they reasoned, i spent too much time colouring the beautiful butterflies that i left a careless mistake unnoticed. such a long long time ago, but i still remembered it, because of its significance. i was darn demoralised by it. sometimes, i just wish my parents would praise instead of scold me. no matter how well i do, it's always not enough. i'm always not perfect enough for them. they never notice how much i've achieved, just how much i've not achieved. my dad would sometimes say, 100 not enough. must get 101/100.
anyways, i better get on track (= we went for the planetshaker's concert. the publicity is AWESOME. the atmosphere was a little like a nightclub. (for a lack of better word). with the lights and all. we were all drawing on each other arms, using the chalk they gave. it was darn packed can. and very stuffy. however, i was a little disappointed with the songs. they didnt sing 'running after you' and 'all i want' which in my opinion, are one of the best songs. but they did sing always and forever. marika has inspiration to choreograph dance moves! there are a few types of kar. ter kar.. and something kar. now there's mi kar(mika). get it? okay never mind. i think it was alene's joke or something.
i thought i saw you. you were running to somewhere. then when i wanted to make sure it was you, you blended into the crowds already.
the concert ended damn fast. it was like one and a half hrs. then all of a sudden it ended. all of us were like.. huh... i had expected it to be from 730 to 1030 can!
never mind. after 930, we all hung around.. waiting for the crowds and the mrt to clear. then we took a couple of photos. thanks malcolm and brian for patiently waiting for us to pose! yay malcolm needs an anti-shake camera. 'why not you one person jump with the camera, instead of we jumping? just make our arms spread out only lor, to appear like we're in mid-air.' a professional cameraman would probably wince at my statement (=
then we walked to the mrt. we wanted to take the photo, but there was problems with the cameras. honestly speaking, i think it was the glass wall behind us. cos of the angle which it is tilted and it's glass! no matter how we took the photos, the background was still blurred. anyways, we left at like 1040. from expo mrt to tiong bahru, daniel had a looong way to go.
okay. now, let me blog about today.
my mum wont let me go for banner painting today at shavonne's house. so, let me reminisce about last year's banner painting. last year's one was quite fun. i remember the times we nuah-ed at jer's comfy bed with the nice aircon running. the paintings turned out nothing like i would have expected. it was fun drawing the design out on black cloth. k lah. gotta give credit to jeremy too :D also, i like the painting part, and feeling that sense of accomplishment!
okay. i'll be going for campus afterwards, even though i'm underaged :p

thank God i feel like updating every single detail of my life these days. my blog was so dead-ed last year, cuz i hardly updated. i was just reading a few posts from my archives, and i realised i didnt write all the big things that happened.
