thank you lydia, adrienne, zenda, jasmine, manfred, jarett, angus, terence, qingfa, gerard, percy, shawn, daryl, joasseph and kenneth for simply making today so wonderful. special thanks to angus for organising, if not, there would not have been an outing today and also for coordinating and planning.
yar lah i know i was stoning at the games, when playing mafia. but you see, playing mafia under a hot sun while sitting on pine cones isn't exactly my idea of fun. and i was never once the mafia/detective/doctor. i was just plainly, the civillian. some ppl are just so lucky. jarett lah. all three times all he mafia.
and then we playing captain's ball using a soccer ball that percy brought. i initially didn't want to play, but i had no choice?! cuz they were short of one player, and joasseph was eating, while the qingfa and shawn just didn't want to participate. there's this stereotype about guys when playing this kind of games. they always throw so far. long pass. and they never ever, if rarely, pass to the girls. it's always between guys, even if you aren't blocked, but the other guys are all blocked. i just hate running for a ball, and waiting for them to throw to me, when i would never ever get a chance with the ball.
anyways, after i lamented all these to them, this time, it wasn't that bad lah.
first game, it was guys against girls. oh i love that one. i can see the guys really give chance and i appreciate it. thanks guys! anyways, the girls won. and quote from guys: 'wahh. the girls very fast leh.'
okay, so second game, we mixed; guys with girls. but i can really see manfred making the effort to pass to me(a girl), instead of keep on passing to jarett(a guy). we were like 4-0. as in, we were losing lah. i mean come on lah. the other team had gerard and percy and daryl. and the three of them play, is enough already. all of us were very tired already, so we decided one last goal and that's it. and we scored! so it became 4-1.
then we went blading/cycling. oh mans, adrienne fell.. and i felt quite bad, cuz i was holding her hand at that moment, and i asked her to stop blading but just enjoy, cuz we were going slop at that time. maybe i should have taken jarett's advice and shouldn't have held her hand? oh wells. Romans 8:1. Lydia was so sweet to change with her, so she could biked. i cant seem to learn biking =( jarrett learned at sec 3, so its never too late.
anyways, we posed for pics at bedok jetty, but since no one brought camera, we used hp cam. haha. angus asked me to bring last minute, but my cam was spoilt. manfred and jarett kept doing those 'neoprint' poses. and they looked quite gay to a certain extent. lydia re-taught me how to do the 180 deg turn! yahoo! joshua patiently taught me two years ago, in december during the GI hangout, but i kinda forgot. i mean can do lah, but not smoothly.
anyway, dinner was just.. normal. haha. i was talking to zenda.
i'm soo glad i live like a 5-10 min walk away from east coast. seriously lah. omg. angus lives in admiralty!
okay, thank you Lord this outing turned out better than i had expected.

okay, before joasseph and i bladed to macs to buy more food, jarett prayed for the food, and asked God to multiply it and for good weather. and really Abba is faithful, because it was drizzling at that time, so when we came back from macs, the drizzle had already stopped. hey that part about the food darn funny. lydia and jarett were saying, 'mans, now i know how jesus felt when he had to feed the thousands with 5 loaves and 2 fishes'. well, thats cuz we had like soooo little food. like 2 packets from old chang kee and some chips. and drinks of course.
