Sunday, March 18, 2007 ; anthem of love
i realised i havent blogged about my holidays yet, so today, sunday, the last day of my hols, i shall do just that (=
hmmm.. i had sch everyday lah. monday was spent going to the bank, then to bugis street with claud.
and on tuesday there was server's nite! fun fun fun! haha. publicity was suppose to meet at 6, and i bought crepe paper already. then no need to meet already. so anyway, i saw jake on the way, then together we met claudine and laura. then just before we reached olio, we saw lydia, and then we realised we wore way too formal. all 3 of us panic sia! then we ran away. after a long time, then we went back. then this whole group of guys saw us, then we ran away again. anyways, they had door gift! a very pretty (but fragile) mug.
publicity sat together! even though we didnt have to! but the coaches had to sit with the rest of the coaches.
the food was delicious, scrumptious, fantastic! haha. it was really good lah. but after i took second helping, i was full, so had a lot of leftovers.
then we took soo many pieces of bread for the soup. then cuz nick's cup was empty, so i placed a piece inside. then he very lame!! he was like, 'this is what i call a toast' hahaha! so we were saying 'a toast' and lifting our glasses throughout the night.
haha very lame. then we were the first table to do yum seng! then halfway during dinner, when i think the coaches table did a yum seng, we did, yummmmmy. haha. soo lame please! the other tables all suan us.
then during performance, bryan sang a french song, and claire sang this song that she wrote! after that there was this dance, then another one, where one person from each department went. nikki, gina, laura and i were standing on the cushion seat thing. cuz our table was quite back.
then, server's nite ended, and all of us were outside, cuz they had to close the place. we took a publicity photo! and many others! then abel, shavonne and i were waiting for yong de, so in the meantime were hanging around. in the end, we went to the same bus stop as marika.
ok, on wed, afer sch i went home to sleep. then during then, angus msged me ask me go east coast cuz they needed help with the games. but too bad, i was slping. when i wanted to go, they said they were leaving for the MM skit already. i wanted to go for the skit, but then i decided to go trng in the end. training had only 5 people! cuz the vjc people trained in the morning. then i never train for 3 weeks already! after went to parkway, to get steriod cream, cuz need someone of above 18 to purchase. so, just nice jin hong was meeting her sister there, and her sis is above 18! after that, i went to ice lemon tee to buy a belt.
on thurs, there was MM outing. was suppose to go out with mezzo vivace-ians. but in the end lisa had to go for appointment. i still dunno how to cut the paper. haha. thumbs up to the new MMs who organised the games (= the games were fun lah. really. just that i got a bit irritated with the guys cuz they were still playing soccer after we finish showering.
then, we went parkway for dinner. claudine and i went to mos burger to buy food, then ate it at yoshinoya with the rest. haha beryl was talking about movies and movies during dinner. then, we went to marks and spencers to buy biscuits. after that, we went back to catch the rest, who had just left yoshinoya. and i took the pail from angus. then, aloysius and i took the same bus home.
on fri after school, i went home and slept! then i cancelled my tuition last minute. my mum wasnt very happy. after that, i had piano lesson. my teacher went super fast can! record ok. we finished the entire book of scales in ONE LESSON. i wanted to finish most of my hw on fri, but haix, in the end i dont know what i did, but i never did anything!
on sat,
my mum went to see mrs chua at 7.15am in the morning. sheesh. i was still fast asleep at home! haha. my mum told me that halfway during the meeting, mrs teo came also, cause there was guides. so they both talked. with my L1R5, i thought my class position would be one of those behind, but thank god it wasnt! cuz class position is done by using the % average. and my average was not bad (=
there was dare! in the morning i wanted to do abit of homework, in the end did only 1% of all my homework. just changing two summary points into own words only. pre service was fun! we put glitter on the boards and stuff. then after we went lunch and came up, laura, her bro and i went to coach alice's car to take the banners. we went to B2, then dunno where her car is, so laura just use that lock thing to locate the car. we saw a number of orangey-red cars, then thought maybe one of those were hers. but her car is orange. not orangey-red.
anyways, sermon was good good good. pastor lawrence really spoke and addressed issues that i have been grippling with for a long time. issues to do with success. i didnt consciously realise that i had these issues, until pastor lawrence preached about those. let me blog some of those (=
-if you start believing what your parents/teachers label you, eg. you're stupid, can never succeed, and you start to live out their prophesies, then its very sad.
-for example, if during PSLE you did very badly. then the more you think you are a loser, and the more you fail. the more you fail, the more you think you are a loser and can never be successful, and the more you fail. and it becomes a cycle.
-all of us have our own thinking of success. for example, you must get good grades to be a success. maybe some people think, but my parents are divored, i have so much hurt. how can i be a success? but our succss is not tied up with how much our parents earn, whether you failed your PSLE, or what stream or school you are from.
-Genesis 39:2 > the lord was with joseph and he was successful man.
at that pt in time, joseph had nothing. he was a slave, he was penniless. his brothers conspired to kill him. YET, God labeled him as a successful man. why? because the lord was with him!
-your success is found in the Lord!
ok, anyways, after preaching, and we had praise.. and worship! yeah, than i had creative comms meeting. laura and her bro left first, cuz they had dinner. i'm helping gina do copywriting! i still remembered when coach joy first asked me to help her in copywriting, i wasnt sure of it. but now, its like, i really wanna help copywrite the testimonies of the youths! yeah, and regarding the decision to quit creative comms, i still dont know. i still want to, but its like, now dosent seem like the right time. but anyway, i'm in creative comms for part-time lah. ok jesus i know you will guide me. i do wanna serve you, and You know that.
immediately after the meeting, i went to convention centre to go to the food fair, to buy chicken pie for my brother. haha. he wanted to eat it, so my mum made me go and buy. anyway he's going to taiwan on monday so just buy for him lah. at the same time, i bought cheese sausage. its the kind inside is full cheese, and the cheese kinda squirts out. yummy! then as i was down the escalator going to the bus stop, my mum called me, cuz the water pipe in my house burst! so she asked me to eat dinner outside. i dinnered with mika, jacqueline and gina. after that talked to denise ng for abit. then we went home together. after waiting at the bus stop for quite some time, yi ting and yong de came. then we bus-sed home together.
ok and today, sunday, i've finished one pathetic piece of my homework. got loads more, and its 2.18pm now! omg. i didnt go church on sunday for the first time in months/years. cuz i really need to finish and finish. anyway i'm not too sure whose going to church today.
