i've received quite a number of revalations this week.
i was listening to pastor chin's sermon last thurs, and he mentioned that no one can choose to slay your giant for you. you have to slay it yourself. to apply it to my life, i've been scared of chemistry. yes, fear of it, because i'm really bad at it. i keep getting intimidated by it and thus, i dont study it or listen in class. but you know what? with chemistry as my "giant", i have to make a choice to start studying, to conquer it. of course, God will help me, but i have to want to slay first. and quote from what coach julian said in the NE MM meeting quite sometime earlier this year, ze xie dou shi si de, ni shi huo de. means, all these are dead things, you are alive, thats why you can conquer your textbooks, because they're dead! thats why you can conquer your computer addiction, because your computer is a non-living object. what more, i have jesus on the inside of me!
there's only grace for today, but no grace for tomorrow. if we worry about tomorrow, there'll be no grace, you'll simply make yourself frustrated and worried etc. however, if there's already grace for today, why do we still need to worry? there's grace to take care of our problems today already!
its not that i'm not a MM anymore, but its that we're all MMs together now :D
i was listening to another pastor chin sermon on tues, and he preached this, that in the garden of Gethsamane, Jesus was pierced with a crown of thorns. and the crown of thorns contains poison, so that when it pierced through the scalp, it made a person deranged. and that is why, i can have a sound mind and the mind of Christ with His wisdom. praise jesus for that, because HE answered a question that i had quite some time ago, regarding the wisdom of God.
"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." -Romans 5:5
The word of God clearly states, that i can hope and not be disappointed. and of course, the word of God never lies. simple truth, but it must be reminded. i can hope against all hope. if nothing happens, dont be disappointed, beause it means something better is coming your way. if God closes a window, means he's gonna open a door of blessings.
the second part of the verse states that the love of God has been poured. the holy spirit brings the love of God. so pray in tongues and sense His love all over again.
it is because of His love, that when we hope, we will surely not be disappointed, because He cares.
