hello! this post is purely about the chinese exam today.
for paper one, i lost touch in writing, since i havent written a single chinese composition since 28 may, which was 5 months ago. but jesus is good. i remember, there was one word, independent. i had absolutely no idea how to say that in chinese. so i flipped open the chinese dictionary, and just randomly looked at chinese words, hoping to find the words. for some reason i just felt that the word would be towards the back. and then the word, zi, popped up in my head. i went there, and i found the word i wanted! the word is zi li, by the way :) and then there was this other word, fine. as in fa kuan. i just decided to double check, to see if the characters i wrote was correct. when i flipped to that word in the dictionary, that word came together with this very chim sentence, which was entirely appropriate with what i'm writing. i copied the sentence down :)
my paper was very very messy. gosh. and on my last page, when i was really desperate, cos there was really absolutely no more space to write. the margin is soo thin, and i kept cancelling; i used correction fluid. and just nice the one of examiners walked pass. and i happened to look up, and she gave me a stare. but i think its alright to use the correction fluid lah, cos they didnt write on the cover page, that no correction fluids are allowed. maybe because chinese dosent have a name for it. apparently the reason why correction fluids arent allowed, is because they'll make the paper stick together in the heat. but it should be alright in my case, because the paper is marked in singapore! and my paper is the first one, right on top, so they'll mark it first, which reduces the risk of the paper sticking together after some time.
for paper two, before i started, i prayed. i remember roughly, that my prayer went something like, 'Dear Abba, thank you that i have the mind of Christ. please let me understand everything supernaturally, and please stop me from daydreaming.' cos i daydream a lot during chinese exams, because i usually cant register on the words. i can be reading the words, and my mind is wondering. as a result, i always dont have time to finish the comprehension. even during the May O level chinese paper. i was rushing. and for this paper, it has never happened before, but i hardly even daydreamed. i perfectly understood every single thing i was reading. i could understand it! thus, i could answer the questions and all, without much difficulty. for the first part, that fill in the blanks part, whereby they give you a passage, and a choice of words to fill in as you go along, i found it, very normal. not difficult, as i expected!
praise jesus :)
i have a feeling the O levels will be over before i even realised it. do you agree?
