hellos! today was a fun and eventful day.
firstly in the morning, i met vic as usual. i panicked when i saw the bus coming and when i reached the bus stop, i realised she wasnt there. but soon she came :) we saw pearlyn pua on the bus today!! she was going to crash SA. haha. and of course we saw viven lek as usual. i tied my hair on the bus today because if i did it at home, i would have missed the bus. i thought i was early this morning so i took my own sweet time, then i became late, and had to run a little. anyways when i reached school, i opened the class door and then went down to meet cheryl looi. i havent talked to her for days! we went to the canteen for me to drink my 50cent coffee from the vending machine. i still drink it even though i found a dead insect in my coffee after i finished drinking it yesterday morning. we chatted about our class, and both of us really miss our sec 4 friends. we so want to meet up with the rest please!! and i know heda and wendy want too when i asked them, but cheryl told me that lisa ends at 6 everyday. anyways, we really took our own sweet time, and when the first bell rang, all the J2s in the canteen miraculously disappeared, and cheryl and i were the only ones left in the canteen. i was thinking why they all zhao-ed so quickly, and i soon realised why. after that bell, the PE teacher was chasing us to go up, but we continued strolling. then the second bell rang and we were about to climb up the steps to the quadrangle, when this other PE teacher, Mr Isaac Lim stopped us, and put us together with the latecomers. we protested that we came to school early and we were in the canteen and our bags were already upstairs etc, but he refused to let us pass. quote from what he said, 'this is what i call early but late'. so we were marked down as latecomers. and xin ying was late too! during annoucements, they had this really funny advert for the rockafella. everyone in the quadrangle was laughing. but we the latecomers have no idea what the advertisement was, cos we couldnt see anything, only hear the sounds. and i didnt know the noddle king stall uncle had a heart attack, until charis told me in class that they asked us to pray for him during morning assembly. haha of course i'll pray. noddle king serves yummy wanton mee, and i havent tried their bar chor mee yet!
during math tutorial we ate sweets and marshmallows. haha. our math teacher aka our home tutor thinks that we eat way way way too much candy, cos everyday someone will buy sweets for the class. and i learnt something new in math today! some very basic math :) during econs, the lecturer was quite annoyed with us, cos no one in the lecture theatre could answer her questions correctly. the econs lecturer appears to me as someone highly stressed and a perfectionist. her handwriting is perfect. seriously. its straight and very neat and very typed-out kind. the neatest handwriting i've ever seen from a teacher since primary 1. lord i need your grace in econs!
then i was too lazy to go climb up to class to open the class door, so i threw the key up, for the guys to go and change cos the girls already had shorts on. but i didnt throw it high enough, so the key dropped and landed on this panel. i couldnt reach it, and i asked this tall indian guy to do it for me. haha and he helped me throw the key up too. during we had physical training today. everyone thought it was games instead. we did 5 rounds around the track, then some push-ups and crunches and that exercise that i think netballers always do. then we ran up and down the grandstand 4 times. every CJC-ian has sure done the grandstand before. haha. we were dead tired, cos this is only our 2nd PE lesson. and our first PE lesson was just 3 rounds around track, and she took our height and weight. but the PE teacher is nice to the girls, and she told us if we're too tired to run up the grandstand, we can just walk up. after running the grandstand, i felt very weak. i was quite surprised cos i still had energy to run up the grandstand. during break i went to buy two 50cent H20s. and then i found another 50cents in the vending machine, and i bought three and gave one to marcus. after drinking H20 during break, i was high! and i felt very very energetic. not tired at all. after eating, our class went to the pull-up bars area, where we sat down and just chat and bonded as a class :) and amanda showed us some yoga moves. i tried to do the chin-ups, but i failed miserably. haha. its time to practice for me. when it was nearly time to go back to class, nobody wanted to go up the grandstand and take our lecture notes and pinafores and skirts and pencil cases etc. we were sick of the grandstand. haha. but thank god in the end some people did, and they are very nice classmates, and helped the rest of us take too. we were late for class, cos no one felt like climbing all 4 flights of stairs. for me, after being on a level two for 3 years, and on level 3 for a year, i have to get used to climbing until level 4.
i think my class was high after PE too and because after break, it was just one more lesson till school ended! during GP, we had a new relief teacher, and we decided to switch names with each other when we intro-ed ourselves to the teacher. nobody was really listening. the guys were behind talking, while i was chionging my math tutorial cos sch was gonna end. and brian and damien wore the ij pinafores. gosh. so gay! haha. and i felt so bad for the GP teacher, cos we were making so much noise. but that teacher is quite nice. he told us that our permanent GP teacher is very fierce, but reasonable. anyways, after school, all the guys tried on the girls' pinafores and skirts etc. haha. i guess thats what happens in a class whereby every one was from a single-sex school. none of us came from a co-ed sec school. i think the funniest part was when brian wore xinying's cedar girls' skirts. he totally couldnt fit into it, and he tried his best to pull it up. and the skirt looked like it was gonna split any moment. then cherlynn, xinying, amanda and i screamed at the same time, cos we thought it split. it really looked like. but thank god it didnt; the split line we saw, was actually the side pocket that splits when you stretch the skirt like mad. we really should have taken a video of it. and i dared marcus to wear xinying's skirt to island creamery in exchange for free ice-cream. at first he agreed, then he backed out. haha. and amanda and i exchanged uniforms! i now have the scgs uniform.
then we went to the grandstand cos some of the girls wanted to play basketball. but in the end they couldnt get the ball, so off we went to island creamery! while the rest sat in front, justin and i sat at in the middle of the bus. while talking to him, i really felt that i got to know him much better. he is still absolutely loyal to VS and he looks absolutely like a choirboy, which he is. and when we got off the bus, brian was amazed that i managed to convince justin to join us. haha he wanted to know what i said to convince him. anyways, i havent never gone there before. haha. their ice-cream cake is superb!! and so is their blackforest ice cream flavour. and cherlynn was very very surprised that i havent tried nutella before. haha. so she said she'd bring on monday for me to try! then we went to ikea! amanda went home, while cherlynn went to meet her sister at queensway. so it was just brian, damien, marcus, xinying and me. first we went to buy poker cards, cos kianhow took brian's, and we wanted to play bridge. haha sidetrack a little, i realise that our class has two favourite activities: bridge and basketball. occassionally after eating during break, some of the girls would go play basketball, while some of us would play bridge. the guys are neutral and they do either. being in bridge club, kianhow knows all the tricks in bridge. i want him to teach me! kk anyway after buying the cards, we went to ikea for our lunch! haha i miss the chicken wings and the meatballs. and i ordered the kiddy spaghetti. after eating, we played bridge! i tried teaching marcus. haha. we played until the security guard came and told us, no gambling allowed, and that there were security cameras. we decided to go walk in ikea abit, and find a nice bed in some hidden corner to play. we walked around in ikea, but we didnt play, though. we sampled the sweets at the hotdog and sweets and tidbits section right at the end of ikea. then we went to queesnway. i finally found a pair of asics shoes that i really like, and it also matches the cjc uniform, but i am determined that i really save up and use my recess money to buy it, cos i just bought like 2 pairs of nike and another 2 pairs of heels already. and i feel very bad if i buy the asics shoes too soon. and brian bought a shoebag while finding for his rugby ball. ok that was about it. we went to the bus stop, and when a random bus came, damien told brian that his bus had arrived. and brian completely didnt know!!!! he was so happily queuing for the bus, while we were laughing at him. we thought he was joking too, cos we thought he glanced at the bus number at the side of the bus when his head was facing there. but after he went up the bus, we realised he completely didnt know. we tried to call him, but he couldnt hear us! and the worst part was, none of us have his phone number. so marcus called catherine to ask for brian's phone number. and by the time marcus called brian, our bus had already arrived, so damien, xinying and i left already. i really really wonder what brian's reaction was like. haha. i told damien to buy more sweets on monday, cos he was the one who told brian to board that bus. anyways, we boarded the bus to orchard. we window-shopped at esprit, before we all went different ways. i went to meet rachel at paragon. haha thank god she lives just behind paragon. we bus-ed down to plaza sing to meet our caregroup. rachel was telling me about someone. haha.
when we got there, everyone was doing work. george taught me validity! haha. now i understand. our cg meeting was to discuss and finalise the plans for the games day on the 26 of jan. everyone had really good ideas. and i got to know rachel a lot better. we talked about our schools and our class, and people whom we both know. haha we warned each other about people. praise jesus for her. oh and she also told me that in her jc, they split the guys and girls up for PE, and for the girls, its quite slack. no fair! most schools do that too. but for cj, they put us together. we're like training at the expense of the guys who are preparing for ns. and for games, we wont be split too. i dont really like this, cos i dont like to play ball games with guys. haha. but like what one of our classmates said, anyway they arent too many guys in our class anyway. haha. and only two of them has the potential to be rough, but i wont say who. haha. and i saw my cousin on the bus home. but i didnt say hi to him.
overall, it seems a lot of activities took place today. i would really miss 1T-08 dearly when its time for us to change classes, and i hope that, that day dosent come too soon because i love us (:
random stuff:
i really really need to go collect specs with yongde asap, but on mon and weds i have hockey trng, while tues i have IG outing, and on thurs i've piano and on fri i've cg. so i dont know when i'd be able to collect.
there's arrow service tomorrow! i miss the grad babes like crazy. we have so much catching up to do.
kailin told me something today about a happening in cjc's staircase. haha.
i need to discuss the GP thing with amanda and xinying this weekend, but all our schedules cant fit!
