Monday, June 30, 2008 ; anthem of love
fri had odac trng! i didnt run much though cos i was with the injured party. ran about like 1km? actually i think its much less than that. i hope that i can run this week but i dont know.
then, mr lim was very nice to drive me to yio chu kang mrt, even though it was out of the way that he and mongaru were heading. and then i met charis at dhoby ghaut. and i was super impressed cos the bus only took 15 mins to suntec. and on the bus, i found chaip's grapic calculator that she had lost the week before. i panicked. hahaha. but it turns out that she already bought a new one, and i feel bad.
saturday was spent going east coast cycling. it was fun. haha. but i think cos i havent ran since like 6 june (exclude the short one on friday), so i was panting a little on the bike. then, we walked to parkway and we bought snacks like bubble tea and ice cream, after that we took bus to yixi's house to watch kong fu panda and charlie&choc factory. kongfu panda is quite a good movie, although intially i didnt understand the first part and yixi's sister had to explain to me like 3 times before i got it. haha. other than the panda being really really adorable and it being my favorite animal, i learnt meaningful stuff. haha. like how you shouldnt give up even though everyone around you doubts your ability, and how although you may not be naturally talented, you just have to be willing to learn and believe that you can. and you have to perservere, like how the panda did with the paus when he really wanted to eat. and after you perservere, you'd find a sense of satisfaction, like how after the panda got that one pau, he didnt feel like eating anymore cos he found a greater and deeper sense of satisfaction other than from eating.
although i've watched charlie and the chocolate factory before, but somehow this time watching it is much different. i noticed a lot of things i didnt notice the first time round watching it in the movie theatre. anyways, i liked what grandpa george said when he told charlie, money is everywhere. but there are only 5 golden tickets in the world. something like that lah, cos charlie wanted to sell his golden ticket to get money for the family. that reminded me again, that a good experience is worthed more than money (: the show was really good. and we ate so so much food. i was still full from the ice cream and then we ate two slices of pizza and chocolates and had rice and many many dishes.
and on sunday i felt that i learnt a lot. both from service and from the lunch before that. service was good although i was a little tired. and i caught something that i thing would help me battle something i've been battling with since like years ago until today. charis should become a bodybuilder or weightlifter. hahaha. she's super super muscular everywhere. and i talked to tsu ting and eileen like finally! and i saw laura and charlottle and jasmine! i havent seen the 3 of them around for ages.
i've A level chinese oral today. i hope i dont screw it up like what i did with my Os.
as term 3 starts tmr, i really dont know what to expect from this term. i know its gonna be hectic. mr lim said it last friday during odac training. i've also heard that term 3 is the term with the most workload and all. and seriously, i'm not mentally prepared for the fast-pace. after exams i've been slacking and very relaxed. even when i walk nowadays, my footsteps are slower. and i think in term 3 got a lot of competitions coming up. i dont even know if i can participate cos of my knee. gosh. i dont know.
woah i think i'm getting too emo. ok its time to stop here and go to long john silvers and try their breakfast. byebye.
