Sunday, January 11, 2009 ; anthem of love
the sentosa outing finally took place yesterday after months of wanting to have it. yongde, joanne and i planned this outing since nov, but things didnt work out to plan. when i sent out the email, i said meet at harbourfront mrt at 10am, but when i woke up and checked the time, it was 10.49am. but thank god i didn't come from home, if not i would have reached there much later. when i reached the mrt, no one was there, and joel told me a few of them were in the beach already. i called kailin and she told me she was at the monorail so i went to find her, but then there was a misunderstanding and she was on it already. so i went to eat breakfast while waiting for denise to arrive. she lives like just one bus stop away.
we played frisbee and a bit of volleyball and captain's ball and go back jump and animal concentration and let's play together (haha direct translation from chinese) and water frisbee. a few of us swam across to the island, and we tried to take jump shots, but we failed. you know why?? cos we were too far away, so when kailin and denise shouted 1, 2, 3 there was lag time cos the soundwaves needed to travel across. not my theory but joel's. we lost 2 of yongde's precious cards. haha. they are precious to him cos they got confiscated but then returned.
i saw some cj seniors and some of the volleyball guys there. i saw sajc volleyball team too, but i didnt see angus or zenda there. i just found out the 2 of them are in the same cca yesterday! but i think what was the best was the worship last night. george is just so annointed (:
after that, we went to harbourfront centre macs to buy food, cos everyone was hungry. joanne and i shared a meal which yeu mahn paid for. he is so nice to keep his word and treat me to a meal. i really forgot what he owed me for. either the christmas party or the rollerblading day. yongde and joanne were very nice to wait very very long to take bus 30 with me, even though the both of them could have taken bus 10. but yongde was very mean at the bus stop. hmph.
this morning i woke up at 9. my plan was to wake up at 7.30 but then i guess i was really too tired after yesterday. i quickly rushed, and wrote the note for jon and then went to suntec to pass it to jo. then i went to town to repair my phone, but the lady said it would cost between $60-$300. i had to pay a $10.70 deposit and they would assess my phone and tell me the cost between 2-4 days time. damn sucky right? in the end i think i'm gonna get a new phone. anyway i met john and then my brother cos john and i wanted to buy havainnas (is this how u spell?) and my bro had a 20% discount. he bought his in orange and white, but the shop didnt have what i wanted so i didnt get. anyway in the end i bought asics shoes. i bought it even though it was quite ex partly cos i felt bad cos the salesguy was so obliging and nice. then john went to suntec with me cos he wanted to say hi to yongde. hahaha. but he didnt see miss yang. service was good yay.
i cant open dave's attachment, but i wanna read it, cos i know he wrote an interesting and creative story about how we all met each other in hougang and went to his house for cg. i didnt receive the email the first time round u know why? because he copied and pasted from the emails that i sent to everyone about sentosa, but he forgot to copy and paste mine too! haha. now that ireen sent it to me, i cant receive it.
i wanna go parkway now, but the sky is super cloudy and its like gonna rain.
fundamentals tmr. i havent run for 3 months already. shucks.
i think this is really screwed up.
